TPP – TECH BRIDGE – NAWCAD - NAVAIR
The FAA has requested support from the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) to investigate the feasibility and expected performance of applying anti-jam (AJ)/anti-spoofing (AS) GPS/GNSS technology for use in civilian aircraft applications with an initial focus on Transport and Business Jet aircraft. NAWCAD is releasing this RFI on AJ/AS GPS/GNSS technologies for eventual use in civilian aircraft applications.
• 60 calendar days after the RFI release: RFI Q&A closes to new questions (due 4/20/2025)
• 90 calendar days after the RFI release: Final responses due (5/20/2025)

STEM Summer Camp @ USMSM for Future Problem Solvers
The STEM Summer Camp is for high-school students who are interested in the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) fields of study. It will provide a venue for students to learn mechanical design, electronics, and coding. It will teach engineering and math skills, as well as collaboration and teamwork, and will aim at developing these diverse skills to solve problems and encourage innovation.

The "Every Student Flies" program- Ready 9 Aviation Academy is an evolution of Southern Maryland Seaplanes, focused on providing specialty flight instruction for rated pilots. This new chapter builds on that expertise to bridge the gap between existing STEM programs in Southern Maryland and a hands-on instructional experience in an airplane. The Ready 9 program offers every high school-aged student in Southern Maryland a free hands-on flight in an airplane. April 12, 2025, | 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m HSMC Announces the Official Opening of the reconstructed Brick Chapel Interior.
Events begin with a ceremonial unlocking of the chapel’s doors by St. Mary’s County Sheriff Steve Hall, symbolizing the reversal of the 1704 act when Sheriff John Coode locked the chapel under royal orders.
Afternoon Lecture Series (1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.) will feature in-depth insight into the chapel’s history, construction, and discoveries. This free event is open to all.
