Hello SoCal Adaptive Sports Family,

With Halloween just around the corner, the season of spooktacular fun is upon us! Whether you’re gearing up for costumes, trick-or-treating, or just enjoying the festive vibes, we hope you’re making the most of this exciting time of year.

As we move into the heart of fall, we’re thrilled to share that there’s a ton of events and opportunities coming up. From adaptive hiking to adaptive golfing, we have plenty planned to keep everyone active and engaged. This season is all about connection, fun, and of course, the spirit of inclusivity.

We also want to take a moment to address some important changes. Our Executive Director, Mike, will be stepping back a bit to focus on his health and spend some much-needed time with family. While he’ll still be involved with SoCal Adaptive Sports, he will be less hands-on than before. Let’s all keep Mike in our thoughts and send him our best wishes and positive energy during this time. We know that with the support of our amazing community, Mike will feel the love and strength he needs.

Thank you all for your ongoing dedication and passion for adaptive sports. We can’t wait to see you at our upcoming events, and we look forward to celebrating the joy of the season with you!

Hola familia de SoCal Adaptive Sports,

Con Halloween a la vuelta de la esquina, ¡la temporada de diversión espeluznante ya está aquí! Ya sea que te estés preparando para disfraces, para pedir dulces o simplemente disfrutar del ambiente festivo, esperamos que estés aprovechando al máximo este emocionante momento del año.

A medida que entramos en el corazón del otoño, estamos emocionados de compartir que tenemos una gran cantidad de eventos y actividades que se vienen. Desde senderismo adaptativo hasta golf adaptivo, tenemos mucho planeado para mantener a todos activos y conectados. Esta temporada se trata de conexión, diversión y, por supuesto, del espíritu de la inclusión.

También queremos tomar un momento para hablar de algunos cambios importantes. Join Our Team: Executive Director Opportunity. SoCal Adaptive Sports is searching for a passionate and visionary leader to become our next Executive Director. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to drive meaningful impact by expanding adaptive sports programs, fostering community partnerships, and enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities. We’re looking for a dynamic individual ready to lead the organization, spearhead fundraising efforts, and be a visible champion for inclusivity and wellness. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $27 per hour for 35 hours per week, plus a travel stipend. While based in the Coachella Valley, we’re extending our search to interested candidates in surrounding areas, including Riverside, Yucca Valley, Banning, Beaumont, Redlands, and beyond. Our Vendor number is PJ5601. We are open to many different modalities for bringing adaptive sports and physical, social, and emotional health to everyBODY!
