The Atlanta Press Club opened submissions for the 2026 Awards of Excellence and Summer Journalism Internship program in January and closed out with 60 intern applications and 270 award submissions!

Over 100 attendees joined our virtual Legislative Breakfast and Reporters’ Roundtable on February 3. Attendees listened in to hear lawmakers, newsmakers, journalists and government transparency experts give their take on hot topics and big trends in the 2026 General Assembly session! Newsmaker Leadership Series

Adam Chamberlain, CEO, Mercedes-Benz participated in a moderated conversation led by Crystal Edmonson, Atlanta Business Chronicle at our first Newsmaker Leadership Series event of the year at Buckhead Club! Adam shared insights on leadership, economic trends, and why Atlanta continues to play a pivotal role in Mercedes-Benz’s North American operation.

APC Winter Member Mixer

APC kicked off the season in style at our Winter Mixer, bringing together members from across the media, communications, and public affairs community for an evening of connection and conversation. Hosted at Bold Monk Brewing Co., the event provided a warm and welcoming atmosphere to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new ones. Thank you to everyone who joined us! Loudermilk-Young Debate Series

The Atlanta Press Club Loudermilk-Young Debate Series hosted special election forums for the Congressional District 14 Special Election on February 15, followed by a runoff debate on March 22.

APC Debates will be back this spring for the 2026 primary and primary run off debates.
