Dear Science Olympiad Community:
Things are heating up at the National Office! We recently wrapped up our Summer Clinics and want to thank all the coaches, educators, Event Supervisors, tournament directors, and volunteers who joined us. From our Virtual Event Bootcamp to our Content and Build Clinics, it was great to see so many members of the Science Olympiad community come together to learn, collaborate, and prepare for another exciting season. We can't wait to see what you'll accomplish this year.

$175K in Grants for Scholars, State Chapters & Alumni Research
Between May and August 2026, the Science Olympiad USA Foundation will distribute more than $175,000 to students, state chapters and our brilliant alums! The Foundation is staying true to its mission of supporting Science Olympiad in every way, using funds to incentivize college-going, accelerate scientific research and making sure our state leaders have strong and healthy local organizations. In addition, the Foundation funded summer workshops for Coaching Excellence Award winners from Georgia, Pennsylvania, Oregon, Iowa, New Jersey and Nebraska. During our Summer Clinics, we welcomed our coaches to a special Quantum Activity Night at the DuPage Children's Museum. They explored hands-on quantum activities and interactive exhibits. Thank you to our partners at Illinois Quantum and Microelectronics Park (IQMP), P33 Chicago, and the Chicago Quantum Exchange for helping expand Science Olympiad on Chicago's Far Southeast Side while introducing students and educators to the exciting field of quantum science.

We're honored that Science Olympiad was recognized by Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, who highlighted Vare-Washington Elementary School's Science Olympiad success while announcing historic investments in Pennsylvania's public schools. These sessions are led by former admissions officers from top universities, offering insider perspectives on what schools are really looking for and how students can stand out.
Our partners at TKS are offering a free 1-hour workshop where you will learn how students at TKS are using AI to secure internships, strengthen university applications, conduct research, create study guides and build real products and startups.
