With the start of the holiday season, we know that December can bring so much joy, fun, and cheerful times. But, it can also bring feelings of stress, anxiety, and depression. Perhaps these four tips might help you be more mindful in finding joy this month.

  1. Accept imperfection.  Everything might not go as planned and that is OK!
  2. Don't lose sight of what really counts. Don't let the craziness of long lines, extra traffic, and extra events spoil your holiday spirit and ability to connect with those around you.
  3. Respond with kindness. As I always tell my daughters, you can’t change how others act, but you can change how you respond to situations. We don't always know what is going on in others' lives, but we will never regret responding in kindness.
  4. Be kind to yourself. Don't set unrealistic expectations and resolutions this year. Start with small steps to meet your goals and forgive yourself when you make mistakes.

Thank you to all of those who have donated to the Foundation this year. Your gifts are certainly making a difference. As we continue to raise money for a 3D Mammography Machine, this year we were also able to provide scholarships for CMAs and help with some projects in our smaller clinics.  If you are looking to make an end-of-year donation to the Morris County Hospital Foundation, you can contact Stacy Zeigler for assistance or click on the button below for an easy online donation.

The Morris County Hospital Foundation is organized for the benefit of the Morris County Hospital and its affiliates. The Foundation, in partnership with donors, seeks to meet our communities' immediate and long-range healthcare needs.

Morris County Hospital Foundation is a U.S. tax-exempt 501 (c) (3) organization and you will receive a receipt of your donation for your tax purposes.
