It’s not too late to host an apprentice for the 2024-2025 Academic Year! The Apprenticeship Maryland Program/Tech Jobs Rule (AMP/TJR) and the Dr. James A. Forrest Career & Technology Center (FCTC) welcome local companies to participate in the Youth Apprenticeship Program. We want to increase the number of apprentices and business partners by September 2024. Calvert and Charles Counties are also in discussion for 2024-2025. In preparation for the General Election, the League of Women Voters of St. Mary’s County, St. Mary’s County NAACP Branch 7025, the Center for the Study of Democracy at SCMC, and the St. Mary’s County Library have partnered to host candidate forums for the three Board of Education races on the ballot. All Board of Education candidates have been invited to participate in the forums on the dates below, scheduled over two dates to accommodate candidate schedules:
