2022 Internship Program

The Atlanta Press Club funded internships for college students at major publications and networks in Atlanta during the summer of 2022. Congratulations to Bethany Cates, Madison Franklin, Christian Knox, Taylor Reimann, Xavier Stevens and Lucinda Warnke. 2022 Awards of Excellence

The Atlanta Press Club honored area journalists for outstanding work in print and digital journalism in multiple topic areas. 2022 Loudermilk-Young Debate Series

The Atlanta Press Club and Georgia Public Broadcasting presented 37 political debates this season for the primary, primary runoffs and general election. For the general elections, we hosted a record 16 debates and hosted debates for every statewide office on the ballot. 2022 Hall of Fame

Journalists Lorenzo "Lo" Jelks, Mary Louise Kelly, Jovita Moore, Russ Spencer and Dick and Rebecca Chase Williams were inducted into the Atlanta Press Club Hall of Fame on November 10, 2022 in a ceremony hosted by Jeff Hullinger. The Hall of Fame is an annual fundraising event that recognizes journalists for their lifetime achievements. Our honorees' careers represent the highest standards of journalistic integrity and ethics. .

2023 Preview

The Atlanta Press Club will have a busy year in 2023, beginning with a virtual Gold Dome Georgia Legislature Kick-Off partnership event with the Georgia First Amendment Foundation on Thursday, January 26th from 8-9:30 a.m, continuing with Member Mixers, Newsmakers and other events throughout the year, as well as summer internships and awards, and finishing with our Hall of Fame ceremony.
