New York City showed up and showed out at the 2nd Annual BFOA Media Mixer NYC on June 13, 2024! More than 170 broadcasters, from CEO’s to those just entering the business, joined the festivities at the iHeartMedia Studios.

BFOA Media Mixers are designed to give up-and-coming professionals in broadcasting unprecedented access to talent, managers, and executives and to bring awareness of the mission of the Foundation to those that are new to the industry.

The event was hosted by iHeartRadio personality Gandhi, a member of the nationally syndicated Elvis Duran And The Morning Show, and featured a live performance from local singer/songwriter sensation Jackie Romeo, a contestant on the most recent season of NBC's The Voice. Special thank you to Hearst Television and NYS Broadcasters Association for sponsoring the event, as well as Constellation Brands for providing all the delicious beverages! Thank you again for making the night a huge success! If you missed it, check out highlights in the video below.

Our 3rd Annual BFOA Giving Day was a Success!

Thank you to everyone who supported our mission during the 3rd annual BFOA Giving Day! This year, we were able to raise critical funds and expand awareness about the BFOA across the country! These critical funds directly support our colleagues in need and the BFOA is the only foundation solely dedicated to radio and television broadcasters.

Did you miss BFOA Giving Day? Don't worry, there is still time to contribute! Donate here.

The season runs from June 1st through November 30th, and the Broadcasters Foundation of America has already begun preparations to support those affected by storms and flood waters. Our Emergency Grants support broadcast professionals who have been impacted by natural disasters, including hurricanes. Here are just a few notes of thanks from grant recipients through the years:

"I must reach out and tell you how much [your support] meant to me and my family after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. The stress of what happened to our home, our family, our station, our city was devastating. Your gift was so touching and important at the time. It meant the world to me knowing that there was somebody to help start the process of helping us rebuild our lives and start over. Thank you all."               - Radio Broadcaster, Louisiana

"Can't forget your help when we suffered the horrific impact of Hurricane Maria in 2017. I don't know if you can understand how important that help was and I can never thank the Foundation enough."                         - Radio Broadcaster, Puerto Rico

If you or a colleague are impacted by hurricanes or other natural disasters this year, please know the BFOA is here to help. Learn more at www.broadcastersfoundation.org/how-we-help.
