ELEVATE HER GALA
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and supported the STEM for Her Elevate Her Gala. Your presence and generosity helped us celebrate the incredible girls and young women who are boldly pursuing STEM-related careers and shaping the future.
Together, we created an evening full of inspiration, connection, and empowerment—raising over $100,000 to help support our Scholarship Program. From networking to the lively cocktail reception, exciting raffle, delicious dinner, and spirited live auction, the energy and enthusiasm in the room were truly unforgettable.
Because of your support, we are one step closer to building a world where every young woman has the opportunity to rise, thrive, and lead in STEM fields.
Let’s continue to Elevate Her — together.
We invited attendees to share advice they would give to their younger selves. Click the image to see a few highlights.

STEM for Her was proud to host our first Day of Tech Challenge on April 1st at the Microsoft Garage, bringing together 75 enthusiastic students from the Academies of Loudoun for a day of hands-on learning, discovery, and empowerment.
Throughout the day, students engaged in exciting challenges in Robotics, Cybersecurity, and Cryptography, tackling real-world problems with creativity and collaboration. Students dove into AI through interactive button-making sessions and enjoyed an exclusive tour of the innovative Microsoft Garage space.
One of the highlights of the day was the lunch-and-learn conversations, where students had the opportunity to connect with accomplished professionals—STEMinists who shared their journeys and insights, inspiring the next generation of leaders in science and technology.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Microsoft Garage for generously hosting the event, and to KPMG for providing a delicious lunch that kept everyone energized. A special thanks also goes to our incredible team of volunteers—your passion and support were at the heart of this amazing day.
The STEM Series is an exciting in-school initiative designed to empower and engage high school girls through hands-on, interactive STEM experiences. By sparking creativity, strengthening problem-solving skills, and encouraging critical thinking, this dynamic program helps students explore the real-world possibilities of science, technology, engineering, and math.
This spring, the STEM Series hit the road, visiting Jackson Reed High School, Oxon Hill High School and West Springfield High School —bringing innovation and inspiration directly to the classroom. We presented programs on Coding with Spheros, Drones, Cancer Research, and Wastewater Engineering. Throughout these visits, career women in STEM who are experts in these fields shared their experiences with the students offering advice on future studies, certifications, and more. It has been a fantastic way for STEM for Her and expert volunteers to engage with students while their school and in their element.
On March 27, the University of the District of Columbia’s Lamond-Riggs campus hosted the 11th Annual Accomplished Women in STEM & Health event—a powerful gathering of trailblazing professionals making strides in science, technology, engineering, health, and beyond.
We were proud to see our very own Laura Whitton, Director of Development take the stage as a featured panelist alongside some of the region’s most accomplished STEM and health leaders. Laura contributed her unique perspective on innovation, leadership, and the vital role of community impact, making it a truly memorable and inspiring conversation.
