Clubhouse Community Center Groundbreaking October 9, 2021, 11:30 am.
Construction Update:
We have an incredible construction team headed by Thomas Construction’s Chris Reid that includes architects, engineers, builders, and project managers meeting regularly as our construction continues through 2022.
Wes Corder is managing our infrastructure build which is awaiting final funding via the American Rescue Plan and New Hanover County. We anticipate the infrastructure finishing up by the end of 2021.
Charles Boney from LS3P is managing the architectural design of our Clubhouse Community Center which is scheduled for construction through July of 2022.
Manis Custom Homes will be manufacturing and delivering 4 tiny homes per month starting in 2022. Several of these are scheduled to be fully ADA accessible.
David Brenner from Wilmington Green is now managing our garden. We are renovating our garden storage building this fall and plan to begin to grow community food starting in the Spring of 2022.
Financial Update:
Our total assets are $2,090,754.
We have no debt.
Our monthly expenses average $2,500.
We are seeking 8 more home sponsors at $40,000 each.
We continue to seek funding from our local banks, churches, individuals, families, and foundations.
We have outstanding pledges of $1,631,500 including the City, County, Cameron Foundation, and a single donor match of $610,000.
We are so appreciative of the following community fundraisers: Wrightsville United Methodist Church Youth, Subaru, Cape Fear Games, Moe’s, Island Passage, Recess by Bevin Prince, Rotary Clubs, Poe's, Mott's Landing, Dell Webb, and River Bluffs.

Shawn Hayes is our full time executive director and can be reached at 910-200-7571 to tour the facility.
Donna Evans is our social worker and is managing our resident inquiries.
Kim Sweeney is managing our food security plan.
Taylor Todd is managing our social media.
Colette Culbertson is managing our newsletter.
Daniel Fisher is managing our financials.
George Elam is leading our fundraising.
The board includes: Tom Dalton, Kim Dalton, George Elam, Kathryn Ciarrocca, Chris Reid, and Jack Richardson.
We have over 1400 people signed up in our database and assigned to work teams including Home Teams, Home Decorating Teams, Garden/Landscape Teams, Construction Teams, Fundraising Teams, Medical Teams, etc.
Thank you for your continued encouragement and financial support as we steadily move forward with this effort to house the chronically homeless who have been living on the streets of Wilmington for over a year. The target population remains about 100 people. Please continue to spread the word by sending people to our recently renovated website at edenvillagewilmington.org.
