When area schools are closed because of inclement weather, the Democratic Resource Center will also be closed.

The Democratic Party of Eau Claire County thanks all those who wish to serve our community by running for local office. We have prepared a list of candidates we hope you consider voting for. Candidates listed on this guide are members of the Eau Claire County Democratic Party, and/or have indicated or demonstrated that they align with the principles and values of the Eau Claire County Democrats.

SAVE THE DATE! May 2nd, 2026. Annual Eau Claire County Democratic SPRING CELEBRATION.

NEW this year:  Please help us sell Spring Celebration Raffle Tickets. You can pick them up at the front desk of the DRC NOW! 
In addition to the live auction and instead of the silent auction, we have a CELEBRATION RAFFLE with cash prizes: First prize is $500 with five $100 prizes. The drawing will take place at the Celebration on May 2nd. You need not be present to win. Proceeds of the raffle and the live auction will support the Democratic Party of Eau Claire County.  Tickets:  1 for $10, 3 for $25, and 6 for $50.  

Wanted: Ideas for Resolutions for the Wisconsin Democratic Party 

You are invited to put forward your ideas for resolutions from the ECC Democratic Party to be considered at the 3rd Congressional District Convention.  The top ten resolutions voted on at the 3rd CD convention will then be sent on to DPW for review and voted on at the state Democratic Party Convention in June. 

To submit any additional resolution ideas email Linda Norton at lnorton08@gmail.com.

Key info:

  • Each resolution must be 100 words or less.
  • Submitted resolutions are generally discussed for editing in Coffee Klatch.
  • Members of ECC Dems will vote virtually or in person on the resolutions to be forwarded to the 3rd CD for review. Ballots will be available in the last week of March.
  • And final voting on which resolutions (up to 10), will be sent on to DPW will occur at the 3rd CD Convention on April 19th.
  • To submit a resolution, please email it to lnorton08@gmail.com with 'Resolutions' in the subject line.

Community Conversation: “The Social Discovery of PFAS Contamination in Wisconsin”

Dr. Thomas Pearson, UW-Stout, will address why PFAS have become an environmental and public health concern in recent years. He will examine the social and political factors that shape both community responses to PFAS contamination and efforts to address the problem.

DONATIONS FOR NEIGHBORS SHELTERING AT HOME

Eau Claire County Dems are helping to collect food, hygiene items, and monetary donations for Chippewa Valley Neighbors who do not feel safe to leave their homes. Drop off your donations at Shift or at the Democratic Resource Center.  One of our members is coordinating with community aide groups and will use any cash donations to purchase and transport needed supplies. Or make credit card donations using the QR code on the poster. Especially needed are personal hygiene and home items including diapers, baby wipes, soap, body wash, dish soap, disinfectant wipes, toilet paper, paper towels, kids’ toys and crayons.
