Already loving a plant-based lifestyle? The jumpstart may not be for you, but is there someone in your life willing to give whole plant foods a test-drive? Your words of encouragement (and this email!) may be the spark they need.
Plantathon was a day for the PPMNY record books! Our second annual Giving Tuesday celebration brought together experts in the field of plant-based nutrition, motivating stories of healing, and the real-life experiences of our community members.
Whether you missed it all or want to rewatch your favorite segments, you can head to our Facebook and YouTube channels today, tomorrow, or next year for the replays of Plantathon Part 1 and Part 2. You’ll find a list of our featured guests in the description on YouTube, but here are a few highlights:
Watch an eye-opening segmenton digital health literacy with Anthony Dissen, EdD, MPH, RDN. He breaks down how we can navigate, evaluate, and apply the mounds of health information at our fingertips.
Tune in for Dr. Ayesha Sherzai’s illuminating explanations of how our brains are impacted by the standard American diet and lifestyle, and how they can thrive — from dietary fats and leafy greens to the links between diabetes and Alzheimer’s, she had heaps of important information to share!
Nicole Scholet was surprised at how quickly her body responded to a plant-based lifestyle. Our jumpstart gave her the knowledge, resources, and support she needed to make lasting change, and her long COVID symptoms reduced dramatically. Hear Nicole's story.

In the true spirit of Giving Tuesday, this community came through with tremendous generosity. With over $15,000 raised, we’re on the way to reaching our $50,000 matching challenge put forward by a generous anonymous donor. Every financial contribution before the end of the year will bring us closer to unlocking the full potential of the match.
Give the gift of health empowerment to others in your community!
