On Thursday, June 13th, we celebrate another year of Federated Conservationists of Westchester County and the combined achievements of our Westchester environmental community.
This year's meeting will be held at Willson's Woods Park DeMatteo Pavilion. Our day will begin with a tour of restoration work recently completed by the Westchester Parks Foundation volunteer program of invasives removal and native tree planting.
Following the tour, we will enjoy a picnic style buffet, beverages, and homemade baked goods, as prelude to a brief business meeting to elect board members and officers to lead us into the coming year.
We will also be presenting our annual Green Seal Award for outstanding environmental advocacy to George Profous, Senior Forester, Division of Lands & Forests, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, and our Edith G. Read Awards for student sustainability leadership to the New Rochelle High School Green Club, and to Environmental Leaders of Color (ELOC).
Please register to join us for this day of camaraderie and celebration.
Sincerely,
Federated Conservationists of Westchester County
