Valle de Oro's Earth Day event was a big success! Many folks from local organizations, volunteers, and community members came together and joined members of the Friends, refuge staff, and visitors for a day of hands-on activities, music and performances, and wildlife viewing. The weather was beautiful, the swallows were flying, and fun was had by all. Many visitors took advantage of the shuttle tour around the refuge to see the mosaic sculptures and wildlife habitats. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped to make the day a success!
