Gallagher James F. X. James F. X. Gallagher, 89, of Maple Glen, PA, passed away January 21, 2023 surrounded by family. Born August 20, 1933 in Philadelphia, PA to Patrick and Anna Gallagher, he is preceded in death by wife Mary, brother Anthony, and sister Mary. A 1951 Northeast Catholic High School graduate, he served in the US Army 1953-1955, earned his bachelor's degree from Villanova University in 1959, and worked as a CPA and tax accountant for Price Waterhouse for 35 years. Jim loved his nightly Manhattan and enjoyed Jeopardy, trivia, music, modern art, literature, history, gardening, NY Times crossword puzzles, and Villanova Basketball. He was a member of The Outdoor Gardeners and Chestnut Hill Historical Society and volunteered at Abington Memorial Hospital and St. Alphonsus Church. He is survived by children Shaun (Aida), Colin (Rebecca), and Megan (Tom), and seven grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday, January 27, 2023 after 10:00 A.M. at St. Alphonsus Church, 33 Conwell Drive, Maple Glen. Funeral Mass will at 11:00 A.M.
