👉 Job Description:
CATA’s Food Justice Program is on the lookout for two dynamic Co-Coordinators to collaborate in developing and implementing the program. From coordinating the youth food justice internship program to managing the community garden in Bridgeton, NJ, this role involves a range of tasks promoting sustainable agro-ecological production.
🌱 Responsibilities include:
Coordinating youth internship program
Curriculum planning and implementation
Managing the community garden
Sustainable agro-ecological production
Volunteer management
Event planning and experiential education
Representation in local and national efforts for food sovereignty
💼 Desired Skills:
Experience with high school-aged youth
Gardening/farming expertise
Commitment to social justice and workers' rights
Bilingual in Spanish and English
Positive and cheerful demeanor
Excellent oral communication skills
Valid Driver’s License
Willingness to perform a variety of tasks
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
💰 Details:
Part-time hourly position (flexible depending on applicants)
$17-$20/hour depending on experience
30 hours/week
Requires both weekend hours (2x/month) and regular evening hours
Position is based out of CATA’s office and garden in Bridgeton, NJ
Background check required due to working with youth
