This Year’s Walk-a-thon is September 24 - 26, 2021
We hope you will join in to walk, run, or cycle!

Anthroposophical Prison Outreach’s ninth annual walk-a-thon, Walk a Mile in My Shoes, will be held throughout the weekend of September 24 - 26, 2021. Unlike most walk-a-thons that take place in one location, this is a nationwide event with no set course.

Unlike most walk-a-thons that take place in one location, this is a nationwide event with no set course. Walkers, runners, and cyclists participate wherever they are located, for however far they want to go. Some choose to do it all at once, and others for a little each day throughout the weekend.

You can walk, run, or cycle alone or with friends, in a park or neighborhood, along a waterfront, or on a trail. Wherever your imagination leads you, we hope you will join in.

Our goal is to raise $35,000 to support the work of APO. Your participation makes a difference!

How can you help? Participants ask their co-workers, family and friends to sponsor them. People give because they want to support YOU! All you have to do is ask . . .  “Would you be willing to sponsor me for a walk-a-thon I am doing?” We make it easy, with a web link you can email to friends and family or post on social media as well as a packet including a sign-up sheet and some brochures you can hand to potential supporters. It's easy to get involved!

We are celebrating our 22nd year of APO. We encourage inmates to take responsibility for their lives through meditative techniques, books of a spiritual nature, mentorship, and correspondence courses. Thank you for your support.

If you’re unable to participate as a walker or cyclist, please consider either supporting someone who can. Or, make a direct gift to the program by following this link.

Please help us reach or exceed this year’s goal!
