Chinmaya Mission West is organizing an online Bala Vihar and Youth summer program for K-12th grades, Yuva Kendra (CHYK 18-28 yrs) , Setukari(CSK 29-45 yrs) and Bala Vihar Teachers groups. This is open to all non-Chinmaya Mission members also. Several Swamins/Brahmacharins, Sandeepany Graduates, and Sevaks of Chinmaya Mission West will be conducting this program over a 7-week period from June 14 – July 30, 2021. The program will be conducted via Zoom for two hours every Monday through Friday. Timings across time zones are given below:

EST – 11am – 1pm

CST – 10am – 12pm

PST – 8am – 10am

Each grade level from KG to CHYK/CSK will have a separate class taught by Swamins/Brahmacharins and Sandeepany Graduates. Students will participate in a variety of sessions, including 33 satsangs on Tulasi Rāmāyaṇa (Śrī Rāmacaritamānasa), yoga, workshops, hands-on activities, group discussions, arts and crafts, music, Stotram chanting, and Vedic chanting.

The registration fee for the entire seven-week program is $150 for families with one participating student and $100 for each additional student from the same family. The registration fee is non-refundable.

Will we have any holidays?
July 2nd Friday will be a holiday and no instruction will take place.

Which grade will my child be enrolled in for the summer camp?
Students must register for the grade that they are in during the current 2020-2021 academic year at their respective schools. For example, seniors graduating from high school in Spring 2021 will register as twelfth grade students in this program. Registration will be facilitated by CMTC Chinmaya Mission Tri-State Center.

My child is under 5 years old. Can they still register for camp?
Our camp starts at kindergarten so they will not be able to enroll. However, we highly recommend https://www.chinmayablossomsva.org/summer-programs/ . This program is for ages 3-5.

What if I want to register more than 3 children on one form?
Please email us at bvsummercamp@chinmayamission.org and we will assist in your registration.

I am over 45 years (above Chinmaya Setukari age). Can I also join the camp?
Our camp is for Kindergarten to Chinmaya Setukari. For those who are passed that age, we highly recommend visiting https://chinmayamissionwest.com/ “Spiritual Lectures”. There are many spiritual lectures in different centers which are ongoing. They are on a virtual platform so it will be easy to attend.

My child has special needs. Will they be able to partake in camp?
Yes. We welcome all children to camp. Please do fill out the details in the registration form and we will assist as best as we can.

I live outside the United States. Can I register for this camp?
This camp is specifically catered to those in the United States, Canada, UK and Trinidad & Tobago. For other countries, please reach out to your local center for summer activities.

Are non-bala vihar families allowed to attend this camp?
Yes and they are encouraged to join all the fun!

How will the camp be conducted?
The camp will be conducted via the Zoom platform and is fully virtual.

Is there a registration deadline?
We strongly encourage early registration as limited spots are available. Registration will close as soon as all spots are filled so please register at the earliest to secure your spot!

How much is the camp fee?
The suggested registration fee for the entire seven-week program is $150 for families with one participating student and $100 per additional child. The registration fee is non-refundable.

May I attend the camp partially?
The curriculum is based on a 7-week instructional plan so students are encouraged to attend the full-camp.

Will the sessions be recorded in case I can’t make it to a session?
The sessions will not be available to the students for any reason. Students may inform their teachers before the planned absence to receive any missed class materials.

Can I pay for only some part of the camp?
The fee is for the entire 7-week program and cannot be divided by day or week.

Is the camp fee tax-exempt?
Yes. We will send you an email with the relevant information following registration.

I have registered for camp but we are unable to join this year. Can I get a refund?
The camp fee is non-refundable.
